Mr. Felix Maurice Johnson, beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend entered into eternal rest on November 14, 2025, at Novant New Hanover Regional Medical Center. Born and raised in Willard, North Carolina, Felix also known as Maurice grew up working alongside his family in farming, a beginning that shaped his strong work ethic and generous spirit. Throughout his life, he held various occupations, but his passion was to be on the open road as a truck driver, and he found success working for a major trucking company living his dream. Dedicated and determined, he was working toward becoming an owner-operator, a goal that reflected his drive and perseverance. Felix "Maurice" had a love for the church and a heart for service. He served in many capacities at Willard Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, but he found his greatest joy in lifting his voice in song. As a teenager he sang on the Willard Chapel Missionary Baptist Church Junior Choir and as an adult he sang on the Willard Chapel Missionary Baptist Church Senior Choir and the Willard Men's Choir. His voice, carried warmth worship, and brought him great joy in singing praises to the Lord.

Felix "Maurice"leads to cherish his memory, his devoted son, Rashonn Johnson and his treasured granddaughters Nyasia and Madiyson. He is also lovingly remembered by his siblings Martha Herring, Cheryl (Lloyd) Wilson, John (Mildred) Johnson, Gerald (Judy) Johnson, James, (Michon) Johnson, and Sara "Missy" Johnson. Felix "Maurice" will also be deeply missed by his uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of dear friends who were touched by his kindness, humor, and love.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, November 22 at 1 PM at Willard Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, located at 880 Church St. in Willard, North Carolina

One hour prior to the service a public visitation will be taking place at the church

Following the service, interment will take place at the Willard Community Cemetery located in Willard, NC

The family will welcome friends and loved ones for repass at the Church Willard Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, 880 Church St, Willard, NC 28478

Felix Maurice leaves behind a legacy filled with love, faith and strength, and one that will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
