It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Ernest Edward Lee, 82  of Maple Hill, NC who peacefully transitioned into eternal rest on Thursday, July 3, 2025 surrounded by loved ones.

He is survived by his wife, Margie Lee; children, Charles Edward Lee, Vincent Lee, Charisse Lee and Asia Dixon Lee; siblings, Hannah Lee Gaither and Joseph Lee; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Ernest was a cherished soul whose kindness, and wisdom left a lasting impact on everyone blessed to know him. His life was a testament to faith, resilience, and compassion, and memory will continue to live on in the hearts of family and friends.

Homegoing celebration will be held 2:00pm Sunday, July 13, 2025 at Lee's Chapel Missionary Baptist Church Maple Hill.

Interment will follow in the Lee Cemetery, Maple Hill.

Viewing for relatives and friends will be held on Saturday, July 12, 2025 during the hours of 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Dunn Funeral Home Chapel 810 West Wilmington Street Burgaw, NC 28425.
