Mr. Elvie Moore, Sr. , age 93, formerly of Rocky Point, quietly departed this life and joined Heaven's Army on Monday, September 11, 2023 while in Mechanicsville, Virginia. He is the son of the late Charlie and Mattie Hicks Moore; the father of Dorothy, Janice, Elvie, Jr., Bryant and the late Ernest Johnson.

A Homegoing Celebration will convene at 11:00a.m. on Saturday, September 23, 2023 at Mt. Moriah AME Church - 13950 NC-210 Rocky Point, NC. Interment will immediately follow in the Bush Cemetery located in Rocky Point, NC.

Public Viewing and Visitation for relatives and friends will be held during the hours of 5:00p.m. - 7:00p.m. on Friday September 22, 2023 at The Chapel of Dunn Funeral Home - 810 W. Wilmington St. Burgaw, NC 28425.
