From his earliest days, Ellis embodied a jovial personality, lighting up each room with his easy smile and quick wit. Ellis was deeply rooted in his community. His dedication and work ethic were seen daily at Inter-Continental Hardwood Inc in Currie, NC, where he built not only his career, but countless friendships founded on respect and camaraderie. Friends and family are invited to honor Ellis’s memory during a visitation at Dunn Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 810 W Wilmington St, Burgaw, NC, on Saturday,August 15th, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. A funeral service celebrating Ellis’s remarkable life will be held at Moores Creek Missionary Baptist Church, 60 Minuteman Road, Currie, NC, on Sunday, August 16th at 2:00 pm. Interment will take place at the Ellis Murphy Family Cemetery located in Currie, NC following the service.
