Ella Mae Parker, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully at the age of 94 on January 9, 2026, at her sister's home. Born on December 12, 1931, Ella led a life rich with love, laughter, and service to others.

Ella was a God-fearing woman whose kind heart and caring spirit touched the lives of many in her community. She dedicated herself to taking care of others, often doing so without being asked. 

Her devotion to her family is lovingly remembered by her children, Luther Parker, Rose Parker, and David Parker, as well as a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of whom cherish her memory. Ella also leaves behind her siblings, Novella Pickett and Elisha Watkins, along with a myriad of nieces, nephews, cousins and relatives who held her dear.

Ella had a passion for cooking, and one of her favorite dishes was chicken and pastry, which she lovingly prepared for family and friends. Her home was often filled with the aroma of her cooking, as she found joy in nurturing those around her. Alongside her culinary talents, Ella delighted in dancing to music in her home, spreading joy and laughter wherever she went.

Family and friends will be receiving guests at the home of her sister, Novella Pickett, as they come together to honor and celebrate the remarkable life of Ella Mae Parker, a remarkable woman whose legacy of love and kindness will be cherished forever.

12Noon, Friday, January, 16, 2026 at Lees Chapel Missionary Baptist Church 7501 NC Highway 50 Maple Hill, NC 28454.  All viewing will be held prior to the service during the hour of 11:00am-11:50am.
