Elijah Randolph "Randy" Brown entered into eternal rest on October 20, 2026, at Novant New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, NC. He was a beloved husband to Amanda S. Brown and a cherished father to their children: Krystal Brown-Skyles (Troy), Timothy Hobbs (Gwendolyn), Tonya Brown-McKvian (Theron), Kesha Brown (Mike), J.R. Brown (Adrienne), and Hakeema Brown (Xavier). Randy was a proud grandfather to Kandice, Justin, Aja, Jervartis, Shantiana, Cameron, Alana, Peyton, Brycen, Parker, Gabrielle, and Jayce, as well as a great-grandfather to twelve precious great-grandchildren.

Randy shared a special bond with his siblings Janette Best, Evelyn Young, Joseph Brown (Carolyn), Wayne Brown, and George Brown. Treasured friendships with Jody King and Thelma Bryant enriched his life further, along with numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

His family and friends will celebrate Randy’s life with a homegoing service on Monday, October 26, 2026, 1:00pm at Mount Pleasant AME Zion in Riegelwood, NC. 

A viewing will be held on Sunday, October 25, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the church. 

Interment following in the Brown Cemetery.

Randy was known for his warm heart, love for his family, and vibrant spirit. A jokester at heart, he enjoyed sports, especially cheering for Carolina, and loved playing cards. Outspoken and passionate, Randy never met a stranger, making lasting connections with all who crossed his path. His presence will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
