With grace and deep reverence, the family of Mrs. Eleanor Glyn Newkirk, age 86, of Burgaw, North Carolina, announces her transition into eternal peace on July 5, 2025, at the Laurels of Pender in Burgaw. A beloved mother, devoted grandmother, cherished sister, and treasured presence to many, Mrs. Newkirk's love knew no bounds. She leaves behind her three children—Reginald Newkirk, Wilma Newkirk, and Clifton Newkirk—whose lives are a testament to her unwavering strength and compassion. Her heart radiated warmth, and everyone who had the blessing of knowing her will forever carry the memory of her kindness and the profound way she showed love.

A Celebration of Life honoring Mrs. Newkirk will be held on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Lakes Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, located at 10420 Point Caswell Road, Willard, NC 28478.

The family will receive friends during a public visitation on Monday, July 14, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Dunn Funeral Home Chapel, 810 W Wilmington Street, Burgaw, NC 28425.

Interment rites will follow the service at Lakes Chapel Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Atkinson, NC.
