Elder Demetric Aquenette Underdue peacefully laid down the burdens of this world and received her crown and long white robe she so often preached about on Wednesday, June 30, 2021 while at New Hanover Regional Medical Center located in Wilmington, North Carolina. She is the wife of Mr. William Bassett.

A Celebration of Life Service will take place at 11:00a.m. on Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at Union Missionary Baptist Church - 2711 Princess Place Dr, Wilmington, NC 28405. Interment will immediately follow in the Pollock Cemetery located in the Scott's Hill Community.

A Walk Through Only Viewing for Family and Friends will be held 5:00p.m. - 7:00p.m. on Monday, July 5, 2021 at The Chapel of Dunn Funeral Home - 810 W. Wilmington St. Burgaw, NC 28425.
