Mr. Edrington Winfield Maynard , age 91, husband of Mrs. Eva Pittman Maynard, of Rocky Point peacefully completed the final sentence of his life's story and departed this life on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 while at New Hanover Regional Medical Center located in Wilmington, North Carolina.

A Homegoing Celebration will take place at 12:00 Noon on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at Mount Moriah A.M.E. Church -  13950 NC Highway 210, Rocky Point, NC 28457. FINAL VIEWING will be 11:00a.m. - 11:50p.m. prior to the 12:00 Noon Homegoing Celebration. THERE WILL NOT BE ANY VIEWING AT THE CONCLUSION OF THE HOMEGOING CELEBRATION. Interment will immediately follow in the Burgaw Cemetery.

Viewing and Visitation for family and friends will be held 4:00p.m. - 6:00p.m. on Monday, December 27, 2021 at The Chapel of Dunn Funeral Home - 810 W. Wilmington St. Burgaw, NC 28425.
