Eddie R. Herring passed away peacefully on Christmas morning, December 25, 2024, succumbing to lung cancer. He was 83.

Eddie's legacy continues through his sons, Jeffrey Jacobs and Lenaire Herring, Sr.; daughter, Jenene (Harry) Seymour; grandchildren, Allison "Peanut", Lenaire, Jr., Lendia, Adonis, Hunter and Jaden. He will also be dearly missed by his devoted partner, Christine Kirkwood; brother, Henry (Marcella) Herring; sisters, Annette (Carl) Blanks and Hazel (Darnell) Hand; brother-in-law, Carl Jarrell; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A Graveside service will take place 11:00 Am January 11, 2025 at Herring Family Cemetery of Watha, NC.
