Mr. Eddie Daniel Smith, Jr. , affectionately known as "Bunny", age, 73, of Holly Ridge, peacefully laid down the burdens of this world and gained eternity on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 while at Onslow Memorial Hospital of Jacksonville, North Carolina. He is the husband of Mrs. Catherine Sellers Smith.

A Homegoing Celebration will take place at 9:00a.m. on Friday, January 21, 2022 at The Chapel of Dunn Funeral Home - 810 W. Wilmington St. Burgaw, NC 28425. Interment will follow at 12:00 Noon at the Coastal Carolina Veterans Cemetery -  110 Montford Point Road. Jacksonville, NC 28540.

Viewing for relatives and friends will be held 6:00p.m. - 8:00p.m. on Thursday, January 20, 2022 at The Chapel of Dunn Funeral Home - 810 W. Wilmington St. Burgaw, NC 28425.
