With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Dyland Rodriguez Ortiz, who left us on April 1, 2025, at UNC Chapel Hill. Born on February 11, 2013, Dyland was a bright light in the lives of those who knew him. His infectious and bubbly personality brought joy and laughter to his family and friends, and his absence leaves an immeasurable void.

A public visitation will be held on April 5, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. at Dunn Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 1:00 p.m. at St. Joseph's Parish Church, located at 1303 US 117, St. Helena, North Carolina, 28425. Dyland will be laid to rest at Riverview Cemetery in Watha, North Carolina.

Dyland's family is grateful for the love and support during this difficult time. May his memory live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
