Mrs. Dorothy Mae Tate , age 102, of Willard, peacefully completed her final chapter in time and began her first chapter in eternity on Tuesday, January 9, 2024 while in the comfort of her residence.

Mrs. Tate is the mother of Juliet Tate Newton, Eddie Tate, Jr., and Ronald Tate.

A Homegoing Celebration will convene at 12:00 Noon on Tuesday, January 16, 2024 at Newkirk's Chapel Missionary Baptist Church - 2990 Willard Road Willard, NC. Interment will immediately follow in the Tate Family Cemetery located in Willard, North Carolina.

Public Viewing for relatives and friends will be held during the hours of 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. on Monday, January 15, 2024 at The Chapel of Dunn Funeral Home - 810 W. Wilmington St. Burgaw, NC 28425.
