Doris Kaye
Robinson
Jan 18, 1956 — Apr 7, 2021
Doris Kaye Robinson, born on January 18, 1956, peacefully passed away on April 7, 2021, in Dublin, NC. Her departure leaves a profound sense of loss among all who were fortunate to know her, yet her loving spirit and cherished memories continue to shine brightly in the hearts of her family and friends.
Doris was a beloved mother to her children, Devin Moore (Kaneaka) and Kim Moore-White (Kevin), who stand as a testament to her enduring love and guidance. Her legacy of warmth and kindness is carried forward through her treasured grandchildren: Janel Alston (Donald), Chiquana J. Kemp, Kandice White, Destin White, Faith White, Makahi Moore, Jasmine and Michael Scott, and Tyrek Ballard. Each grandchild was a source of joy and pride, and she deeply cherished the moments shared with them.
She was also blessed with the companionship and support of her siblings: Rose Prodgen; Joyce Robinson (Leon); Faye Holmes; Brenda Moore-Dunn (Bob); Marian Coe (Charles); and James S. Moore, Sr. Their bonds, forged through years of shared experiences, provided Doris with lasting strength and comfort.
Special to Doris was her caregiver, Kim Beasley, whose compassionate care was a meaningful presence in her life. Equally significant were her special God daughters — Nicole Hudson, Kim Wright Holmes, and Brittany Henry — and her special Godson, Charles Monroe, each of whom held a unique place in her heart. Doris also leaves behind a myriad of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends who mourn her passing and celebrate the indelible mark she made on their lives.
Her life will be honored with a service at 1:00 pm on Sunday, April 11, 2021, at The Chapel of Dunn Funeral Home, located at 810 West Wilmington Street, Burgaw, NC. Following the service, interment will take place at the Bethel A.M.E. Church Cemetery on Bethel Church Road, Currie, NC.
Though Doris Kaye Robinson is no longer with us in body, her spirit lives on through the love she cultivated and the beautiful memories she leaves behind. Her kindness, strength, and unwavering devotion will forever resonate in the hearts of those who loved her, reminding us all of a life well-lived and a love deeply felt.
