Mother, Doris T. Newkirk, 93 of Hampstead NC peacefully transitioned at Woodbury Wellness Center in Hampstead, NC with her family at her side. Mother Newkirk has completed her time of service here on earth and is now enjoying eternal rest.

She is survived by her children; William T. Newkirk, Sr., Catherine Newkirk Jacobs, James (Leon) Newkirk, Cynthia Newkirk Thompson and Annie Newkirk and a host of family and friends.

Celebration of a life will take place 1:00pm Friday, January 24, 2025 at The Middle District Baptist Association 1821 NC Highway 53 West, Burgaw, NC 28425.

Interment will follow in the Friendship Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery 16810 NC Highway 210, Rocky Point, NC 28457.

VIEWING for family and friends will be held 4:00pm -6:00pm Thursday, January 23, 2025 at Dunn Funeral Home Chapel and  prior to the celebration of life service on Friday, January 24, 2025 at the Middle District Association during the hour of 12noon to 12:50pm. There will NOT be any viewing at the end of the service.
