Mrs. Dessie M. Lewis , age 93, of the West Pender Community of Burgaw, completed her earthly sojourn quietly on Sunday, August 6, 2023 while in the comfort of her residence and a new more promising journey began when she entered eternal rest in the presence of the Lord.

A Homegoing Celebration will take place at 2:00p.m. on Sunday, August 13, 2023 at Union Chapel Missionary Baptist Church - 12401 US Highway 421, Burgaw, NC. Interment will immediately follow in the Lewis Family Cemetery located in the West Pender Community of Burgaw.

Public Viewing and Visitation for relatives and friends will be held 1:00p.m. - 1:50p.m. on Sunday, August 13, 2023 at Union Chapel Missionary Baptist Church - 12401 US Highway 421, Burgaw, NC.
