Desi Arnold Newkirk, 63 of Harrells, North Carolina passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 31, 2025 at his residence surrounded by his family.

Desi is survived by his devoted wife, Cindy R. Newkirk; children, Krystal Gurganious and Samantha Gurganious; Grandkids Christian, Jada, Antonio, Braylyn, Gabriel Great-granddaughter Layloni. Mother, Mrs. Katie Newkirk and a host of  siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family and friends.

Service of remembrance will be held 3:30pm Friday, June 6, 2025 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses located at 405 Rosemary Road, Rose Hill, NC 28458.

Interment will follow at Roseville Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, Willard, NC.

Viewing will be held during the hours of 5:00pm to 7:00pm Thursday, June 5, 2025 at Dunn Funeral Home Chapel 810 West Wilmington Street Burgaw, NC 28425.

Desi displayed exceptional leadership and a tireless work ethic while playing a vital role in ensuring the health, welfare  and productivity with the livestock. His commitment to excellence and unwavering dedication set a standard for all who worked with him. His presence will be sorely missed by his family, colleagues, friends and the entire Prestage Company.
