Deatrice A. High, age 65, of Brooklyn, New York, peacefully gained her wings on August 11, 2025, at New York Weill Cornell Medical Center in Manhattan. A beloved soul, she leaves behind a legacy of love and treasured memories that will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. at Frank R. Bell Funeral Home, 536 Sterling Place, Brooklyn, New York 11238. Family and friends are invited to attend a public viewing from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. prior to the service.

A second service will be held on Monday, August 25, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. at Dunn Funeral Home Chapel, 810 W. Wilmington Street, Burgaw, North Carolina 28425, with a public visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m. and concluding at 11:50 a.m. Immediately following the service, Ms. High will be laid to rest at Canetuck Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Currie, North Carolina.

Her spirit will be remembered with deep love, and her life celebrated with honor and gratitude
