Deacon James Edward Boney, Jr. , age 93, of the Twin Oaks Community, Burgaw, North Carolina peacefully transitioned into eternal rest on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 while at Lower Cape Fear Life Care Center located in Wilmington, North Carolina.

He is the father of Sarah Marshall Dudley, Alice Faye Walker, Sherry Ann Boney and the late James Daniel Boney.

A Homegoing Service will take place at 1:00p.m. on Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at Pike Creek Missionary Baptist Church - 4054 US Highway 117 S. Burgaw, NC. Interment will immediately follow in the Pike Creek Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.

Viewing for relatives and friends will be held 5:00p.m. - 7:00p.m. on Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at The Chapel of Dunn Funeral Home - 810 W. Wilmington St. Burgaw, NC. Masonic Last Rites by Middle Chamber Lodge #169 will begin at 6:30p.m.
