Deacon Bernard Blackmore , age 78, of Rocky Point, peacefully completed the last sentence of his life's story and joined the Heavenly Host on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 while at NorthChase Nursing and Rehabilitation Center located in Wilmington, North Carolina. He is the husband of Mrs. Romana B. Blackmore.

A Homegoing Celebration will take place 1:00pm on Wednesday, June 8, 2022 at St. Matthew's Missionary Baptist Church - 152 Arlington Ave, Rocky Point, NC 28457. Interment will immediately follow in the Bush Cemetery located in Rocky Point, North Carolina.

Public Viewing for relatives and friends will convene on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 during the hours of 5:00p.m. - 7:00p.m. at The Chapel of Dunn Funeral Home - 810 W. Wilmington St. Burgaw, NC 28425.
