Clementine Lee Harrell, a beloved member of the Pender County community, passed away peacefully on May 5, 2026, at Novant Pender Memorial Hospital in Burgaw. Born on August 19, 1947, Clementine's life spanned nearly eight decades, filled with love, family, and enduring memories.

A native of Pender County, Clementine was cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her warmth and kindness touched many lives throughout her lifetime. She was a devoted mother, loving grandmother, and a pillar to her family and friends.

Clementine leaves behind her devoted daughter, Marla Milton(John Milton, Sr.), who carries forward her mother’s legacy of love and strength. She is also survived by her grandchildren—Quintin Milton, John Milton, Jr., and Rebecca Milton—each of whom held a special place in her heart. Clementine’s nurturing spirit extended to her nine great-grandchildren, whose lives she enriched with her enduring presence.

Her family circle is further graced by her siblings, Elwood Lee, Elna Grace Sharpless and Brenda Johnson, who shared in a lifelong bond of brotherly and sisterly love with Clementine. Beyond her immediate family, she is remembered fondly by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, all of whom admired her gentle soul and compassionate nature.

The impact Clementine made on her loved ones ensures that her memory will live on in the hearts of those she touched. Though she has departed from this world, her legacy of warmth, kindness, and family devotion will continue to inspire all who knew her.

A private memorial service to celebrate Clementine Lee Harrell’s life and legacy will be arranged at a later date.
