Carolyn Beatty McIntyre, aged 78, of Rocky Point, left us peacefully on October 23, 2026, surrounded by love at Novant New Hanover Medical Center in Wilmington, NC. Cherished by her beloved husband, Alfred McIntyre, Carolyn’s legacy continues through her children: Pamela Mitchell, Tracy Walker (Louis Sr.), Clifton Beatty, and Tyree McIntyre. Her joy and warmth live on in her grandchildren, Ebony, Louis Jr. (Sequoia), Ashley, Joshua, Rebecca (William), Kimberly, Kyree, and Brian Jones Jr.

Carolyn’s life was also enriched by her sisters, including Michelle Jones, Shelia Cotton, Dianne Cotton, Teresa Boykin, Maxine Moses, Alethea Ward (Jerome), Pearl Ward, Robbin Ward, Minnie R. Ward Haston (Thomas), and Carolyn Mosely; her brothers, Carl Moses Sr. (Ruby), Danny Parker, Oscar Ward, and Freddie Cotton. A host of beloved grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends join in mourning and honoring her memory.

A homegoing celebration will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 1, 2026, at St. Paul AME Church, located at 50 McIntyre Church Road, Rocky Point, NC 28457. Carolyn will be laid to rest in the McIntyre Moore Cemetery in Rocky Point. Friends and family are invited to a viewing from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 31, 2026, at Dunn Funeral Home Chapel, 810 West Wilmington Street, Burgaw, NC.
