Carolyn Newkirk Beatty, age 82 of Kelly, NC peacefully crossed the sands of time and entered a land of eternal peace on Friday, February 28, 2025 at her residence.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Beatty; children, Regina Beatty and Sherilyn Lewis; siblings, Jerry Newkirk, Otis Newkirk, ONeil Newkirk, and Donald Newkirk, Andrew "Buck" McMillian.

Homegoing service will convene 2:00pm Sunday, March 9, 2025 at Kitchen Branch Missionary Baptist Church 2058 Baltimore Road, Council, NC 28434.

Interment will follow in the Carver Creek A.M.E. Zion Church Cemetery Council, NC.

Viewing for relatives and friends will take place 3:00pm to 5:00pm Saturday, March 8, 2025 at Dunn Funeral Home Chapel 810 West Wilmington Street Burgaw, NC 28425.
