Carnell Stringfield, Jr., born on May 19, 1972, in Pender County, passed away peacefully at his residence in Rocky Mount, North Carolina, on April 7, 2026. He lived a life marked by close family bonds and community ties, leaving behind a legacy cherished by those who knew him.
Carnell Jr. was the beloved son of Pastor Carnell Stringfield, Sr. (Jackie) and Christine Whitaker. He is also survived by his cherished siblings: Pamela Evans (James), Garry Marshburn, Kimberly Stringfield, Lagreta Arrington (Derrick), Kendall Gregg, Jonathan Morris (Allison), Pastor Tyshan Stringfield (Brandi), and Carmen Densky (Emmanuel). His family circle extends further with a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who hold his memory dear.
A celebration of Carnell's life is scheduled for 3:00pm Sunday, April 12, 2026, at The Middle District Baptist Association located on Highway 53 in Burgaw, North Carolina. The service will begin promptly, preceded by a viewing from 2:00 p.m. to 2:50 p.m. at the same location, offering family, friends, and loved ones the opportunity to pay their respects and share in remembrance. Following the service, interment will take place at Wilson Chapel Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery on Overlyon Road in Kelly, North Carolina.
Carnell Stringfield, Jr.’s passing is deeply felt by his family and community, and his life will be remembered with honor, respect, and affection by all who had the privilege to know him.
