Mr. Carnell "Ronnie" Newkirk, age 73 formerly of Kelly, North Carolina peacefully laid down the burdens of this world on Sunday, August 7, 2022 in Mitchellville, Maryland.  He is the husband of Mrs. Kinny Smith Newkirk.

Homegoing celebration service will be held at 11:00am Saturday, August 20, 2022 at Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church 1320 Natmore Road, Kelly, NC 28448. Interment will follow in the Jumpin Run Cemetery Ivanhoe, NC 28447.

Viewing for relatives and friends will be held 5:00pm to 7:00pm Friday, August 19, 2022 at Dunn Funeral Home 810 West Wilmington Street Burgaw, NC 28425 and one hour prior to the homegoing celebration service on Saturday at the church.
