Carl Henry Pearsall, Jr., lovingly called "Ground Mo," passed away peacefully at the age of 88 on October 31, 2026, in Jacksonville, NC. Cherished by his daughters Theresa Bland, Tracenia “Tracy” Bennerman, and Darlene Adams, Carl leaves behind a legacy that extends through his grandchildren, Damareea and Damonie Pearsall, great-grandchildren, Faith Holmes and Khamonie’ Pearsall, and a network of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends who adored him.

A master mechanic by trade, Carl possessed an exceptional skill for breathing life back into vehicles, a talent he generously shared with family and friends. His passion for his craft was only surpassed by the love he held for his family, with whom he treasured every moment.

Friends and family are invited to celebrate his life on Friday, November 6, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Dunn Funeral Home Chapel in Burgaw, NC. 

A viewing will be held the day before, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, at the same location.

In memory of Ground Mo, the family kindly suggests the purchase of pot plants or garden dishes instead of standing sprays, allowing his spirit to continue nurturing those he leaves behind.
