Carl Douglas Peacock, age 74, of Willard, who passed away peacefully on July 28, 2025 at his residence.

He is survived by his daughter, Chandra "Keysha" Holder; Grandchildren, Star Quasia Holder, Lamecca Holder, Joshua Boyd and Jonathan Boyd, Jr. and a host of family and friends.

Carl was a beloved father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, and friend — known by many as a gentle giant. Standing tall in both stature and spirit, he had a kind heart, a calm presence, and a quiet strength that made others feel safe and cared for.

He spent much of his life as a hardworking truck driver, taking pride in his job and providing for his family. Off the road, Carl was a man of few words but deep love. His warm smile, bear hugs, and steady support will be missed beyond measure.

He leaves behind a legacy of love, loyalty, and quiet resilience. His memory will forever be cherished by those who knew and loved him.

A memorial service will be held 6:00pm Wednesday, August 6, 2025 at Dunn Funeral Home Chapel 810 West Wilmington Street Burgaw, NC 28425.

In lieu of standing sprays the family kindly request potted plants or garden dishes as a way to honor Carl's memory.

The family will be receiving visitors at the residence of his aunt, Zerlane Newton located at 2096 Buckhorn Road in Harrells, NC.
