Sandhill A.M.E. Church
Starts at 3:00 pm
It is with profound respect and heartfelt sorrow that we announce the passing of Camille Henderson Lane, a cherished and vibrant soul who departed this life on April 19, 2026, at her residence. Born on May 27, 1953, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Camille graced the world with her free-spirited, loving nature and a passion that was as genuine as it was fiercely opinionated. Through the years, she bore the mark of a woman who lived authentically and ardently, leaving an indelible imprint on the hearts of all who knew her.
Camille dedicated a significant portion of her life to serving as a Mail Carrier for the United States Postal Service, a role in which her unwavering reliability and commitment reflected her character. Outside of her professional endeavors, she was an artist at heart, nurturing her creativity alongside a verdant "green thumb" that brought beauty and life wherever she tended. Yet, above all, Camille’s proudest accomplishment was her family the profound legacy she secured through her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, whose lives she enriched and supported without hesitation, embodying the steadfast spirit of always having her family’s back.
The enduring warmth and love Camille extended encircle her beloved daughters, Yvette Camille (Joseph Lee) Robinson and Amelia Azizi Lane; her grandchildren, Jessica Antoinette Davis, Melissa Renee Robinson, Eddie Bridges III, Davion Ezekiel Lane, and Melizsa C Bridges; and her great-grandchildren, Daliza Davis, Monzel Davis, and Say'Vion Lane. She is also remembered dearly by her siblings, Mae Gwendolyn Henderson, Jeanette Mallard, Anthony Henderson, and Shirley Pugh, along with a cherished circle of nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends who share in this profound loss.
A memorial service commemorating Camille’s remarkable life will be held on April 26, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Sandhill A.M.E. Church, located at 3030 Whitestocking Road, Burgaw, North Carolina, 28425. This gathering will serve as a testament to her enduring spirit and the multitude of lives she has touched.
In remembering Camille Henderson Lane, we celebrate a woman of vibrant opinions and boundless love whose legacy is woven through the generations she so tenderly nurtured. Her artistic soul, her devotion to family, and her uncompromising authenticity will forever remain a beacon of inspiration and love. May she rest in eternal peace.
