Callie Beatrice Simmons , aka "Callie B.", departed this life on August 28, 2023 in Stockbridge, Georgia. A visitation of family and friends will be held for Callie on Saturday, September 9, 2023 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Horis A. Ward Funeral Home - Fairview Chapel | 376 Fairview Road, Stockbridge, Georgia 30281, followed by a celebration of her life at 11:00 AM in Ward's Chapel.

In addition to her husband David Simmons; children, Glenn Simmons and Rosalind Gee; and two grandchildren Callie is locally survived by her brothers, Andrew (Patricia) Rowell of Wilmington, NC; Rufus (Gatha) Rowell of Burgaw, NC; Nathaniel Rowell of Burgaw, NC; James (Dyann) Rowell of Currie, NC; Jerry (Sandra) Rowell of Leland, NC; along with one sister, Jannie Solomon; several nieces, nephews, cousins; and last but not the least, Bleu, her great grand pup.

Callie was preceded in death by her father, Fred Clay; mother, Lillian Lorraine Rowell; stepfather, Earl Thomas Rowell; brother, Thomas Lee Rowell; son, Ronald Lemont Young.

Callie was a loving wife, mother, big sister, auntie to many and a great friend who will be missed by all. She has left a little of herself in each one of us to carry on her legacy of loving others. She will never be forgotten and will live on forever in our hearts.
