Bryant Shephard, Jr. peacefully departed this life on August 26, 2026, at home, surrounded by his loving family. He leaves behind his devoted wife, Addie Pearl Shephard; his children, Gregory Lee Shephard and wife Deborah, Mona Shephard Hebron, and Veronica Shephard Garrett and husband Johnny; his grandchildren, Bryant T. Shephard and wife Jacquetta, LaKeesha Shephard Purcell and husband Terrell, Leander Pickett, Aldwin "Tyrell" Shephard, Jonese Garrett, and DeWayne Hebron; as well as many cherished great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

A homegoing celebration will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 5, 2026, at Lees Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, located at 7501 North Carolina Highway 50, Maple Hill, NC. Interment will follow at the Shepard Family Cemetery on Highway 50, Maple Hill, NC.

Family and friends are invited to attend a viewing prior to the celebration from 12:00 noon to 12:50 p.m. at the church.

Bryant was a devoted family man, finding joy in every shared moment. A man of strong will and a community focus, he expressed his creativity through crafting custom walking canes and repairing bicycles. His passion for the arts also saw him participate in locally filmed movies.
