Brian Thomas Kemp, a beloved son, brother, father, and friend, passed away on May 12, 2026, in Greensboro, North Carolina. Born on April 22, 1967, in San Jose, California, Brian’s journey was marked by love, humor, and a deep care for those around him.

Brian devoted much of his life to his work as a machinist, where his skill and dedication were greatly admired. Beyond his profession, he proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, demonstrating his commitment to service and his country.

A man of many talents and interests, Brian enjoyed fishing, bowling, and tending to his garden—activities that brought him joy and peace throughout his life. He was known for his funny, caring, and loving personality, qualities that endeared him to everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

Brian’s educational achievements included graduating from Pender High School and earning an associate degree from Guilford Technical College. These milestones reflected his dedication to learning and personal growth.

He leaves behind a loving family who cherished him deeply. His daughter, Kyemira Kemp, carries his legacy forward with pride. Brian's siblings, Venita (Thermond) Kemp-Robinson, Keith Kemp, Adrian (Candace) Kemp, Pamela Kemp, Paula (Darryl) Stiles, Patricia Pierce, and Anthony (Angela) Kemp remember him with affection and honor his memory. They, along with many friends and loved ones, will continue to celebrate the joy he brought into their lives.

Brian was preceded in death by his parents, Willie James Kemp and Azella Kemp, whose love laid the foundation for the wonderful man he became. He was also predeceased by his brother, Kevin Kemp, whose memory remains close to Brian’s heart.

A visitation will be held on May 18, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 12:50 PM at Dunn Funeral Home and Cremation Services, located at 810 W Wilmington St, Burgaw, NC 28425. This will be followed by a funeral service from 1:00 PM at the same location, where family and friends will gather to honor Brian’s life and legacy.

Brian Thomas Kemp’s warmth, humor, and loving nature have left an indelible mark on all who knew him. He will be deeply missed but fondly remembered, his spirit living on in the hearts of those who loved him most.
