Obituary
Reverend Bert Lawrence Wheeler, 83, of Burgaw and Decatur, Georgia, died Saturday, March 9, 2013 at the Atlanta V.A. Medical Center.
He was born March 3, 1930 in Brooklyn, New York to the late Robert and Bertha James Wheeler. He served in the U.S. Army after graduating high school.
After attending Seminary, he spent many active years in ministry serving as prison and hospital chaplain.
He leaves to cherish his memory:

The funeral will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 16, 2013 at Mount Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church, Burgaw. Interment will be in Duplin Memorial Gardens, Teachey. The visitation will be 5 p.m. - 8 p.m. Friday, March 15, 2013, with the family receiving friends and relatives from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Dunn Funeral Home.
