It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Mr. Aubray Alan Sweeting, Sr., age 63, of Patchogue, New York, who departed this life on October 24, 2025, at the VA Medical Center in Northport, NY. A man of strength, heart, and unwavering spirit, Mr. Sweeting was known for his love of sports, his days on the football field, and his steadfast devotion to the New York Yankees. Whether lifting weights or relaxing to the smooth sounds of jazz, he embraced life with passion and purpose. He was the beloved husband of Mrs. Sherese Sweeting and a devoted father to Aubray Sweeting, Jr., Zuri Washington, Andrew Sweeting, Alex Sweeting, Austin Sweeting and Devonte Triplett. His legacy continues through his cherished grandchildren and the countless lives he touched with his warmth, humor, and resilience.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Dunn Funeral Home Chapel, 810 W Wilmington St, Burgaw, NC 28425.

The family will receive friends for a public visitation from 12:00 PM to 12:50 PM prior to the service.

Mr. Sweeting will be laid to rest on Thursday, November 6, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery, 8220 Liberty Blvd, Spring Lake, NC 28390.

His memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
