With deep respect and heavy hearts, we announce the transitioning of Retired Officer Artis L. Beatty, Jr. of New York, who faithfully served his community with honor and distinction.

Mr. Beatty is the son of Artis L. Beatty, Sr. and Katherleen Johnson Beatty of New York and Kelly, North Carolina; husband of Sharone Beatty and father of Marcus Beatty both of New York.

New York Service

Honorable service will be held during the hours of 1:00pm Saturday, April 26, 2025 at Hungerford & Clark Funeral Home 110 Pine Street Freeport, New York 11520.

North Carolina Service

Homegoing celebration will be held 1:00pm Tuesday, April 29, 2025 at St. James A.M.E. Church 1630 Over Lyon Road, Kelly, NC 28448. Interment will follow in the Beatty-Kealon Cemetery, Kelly, NC.

All viewing for relatives and friends will be held during the hour of 12:00noon to 12:50pm prior to the 1:00pm homegoing service on Tuesday, April 29, 2025 at St. James AME Church.

Though Retired Officer Beatty has laid down his badge, his legacy of service, dedication and courage lives on.
