Mrs. Annie Pearl Pridgen Newkirk, age 82, of Ivanhoe, NC, peacefully transitioned from this life on January 19, 2026, at her residence. Born on October 10, 1943, Annie was a beloved figure in her community and a cherished member of her family.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Donald Newkirk, and her children: Donald J. Newkirk, Lolita M. Newkirk, Veronica D. Newkirk, Henri D. Newkirk, and Diamond D. Newkirk. Annie's legacy also includes her sister, Hazel Colvin, along with a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will remember her affectionately.

Service/Viewing/Interment

Annie's homegoing celebration will take place on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church, located at 9364 Wildcat Road, Ivanhoe, NC 28447. Family and friends are invited to gather for viewing prior to the service from 12:00 PM to 12:50 PM at the church. Following the service, Annie will be laid to rest in the Moores Swamp A.M.E. Church Cemetery in Ivanhoe, NC.
