Mr. Alexander Newkirk, Sr. age 84, of Norfolk, Virginia quietly crossed the sands of time and received his rest on Monday, April 17, 2023 while in Norfolk, Virginia.

A Celebration of Life Service will convene at 1:00p.m. on Thursday, April 27, 2023 at The Chapel of Dunn Funeral Home - 810 W. Wilmington St. Burgaw, NC 28425. Interment with Military Honors will immediately follow in the Watha Chapel Cemetery located in Watha, NC.

Public Viewing and Visitation for relatives and friends will be held 12:00 Noon - 12:50p.m. on Thursday, April 27, 2023 at The Chapel of Dunn Funeral Home - 810 W. Wilmington St. Burgaw, NC 28425 prior to the 1:00p.m. Celebration of Life Service.
