Mother Ada Mae Williams, age 93 of Rocky Point peacefully transitioned into the land of the free and healed on Monday, December 1, 2025, at Novant New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, NC.

Mother Williams is survived by her daughter, Sharon Williams Carr (Johnny); her stepson, Jamie "Maurice" Williams; grandchildren, Alisha M. Williams, Johnny L. Carr Jr. (Danielle), Jasmine Williams, Ja'Mes Williams, and Adrian J. Carr; along with a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Homegoing celebration will be held 1:00pm Saturday, December 6, 2025 at St. Matthews Missionary Baptist Church 152 Arlington Avenue Rocky Point, NC 28457.

Interment will follow in the Williams Family Cemetery Shaw Highway Rocky Point, NC.

Viewing for relatives and friends will be held during the hours of 4:00pm to 6:00pm Friday, December 5, 2025 at Dunn Funeral Home Chapel 810 West Wilmington Street Burgaw, NC 28425.

Mother Williams was a loving soul who touched many with her warmth and kindness. She enjoyed cooking, watching her favorite television programs—especially game shows—and sharing her wonderful sense of humor. She spoke her mind with grace and honesty and lived as a devoted woman of faith.

Her legacy of love, laughter, and strength will live on in all who knew and cherished her.
